mod_perl is a powerful and flexible module for Apache that provides a persistent Perl interpreter for the web server. This provides many things, including performance enhancements for Perl based web applications, and the ability to maintain stateful sessions. This software package is a DSO module compiled for Apache 2.
This package will install all of the mod_perl components, and automatically configure the web server to load the module. It will not automatically configure your applications. This will have to be done manually by the user. For complete documentation and configuration instructions, please consult mod_perl's homepage (link above).
Please note that this version of mod_perl is considered "bleeding edge", and may be missing some features. It will probably have bugs as well.
